In the trip, we will observe the creatures of Lieyu's intertidal zone, includes algae, shells, crabs and oysters. The experience of appropriately digging & picking up the shells, as well as the introduction of oyster farming allows visitors to appreciate the beauty of Lieyu's intertidal zone and learn more about natural conservation and ecology education. Another key point is to observe the birds at Lingshui Lake and roam in the footpath among trees. Following the footpath tour is Scholar Wu's Abode in Shangku featuring traditional Minan style building and culture.
Lieyu is with imposing coastline surrounded by ocean. The island possesses clean and beautiful beach and natural intertidal zone with rich biodiversity. Flocks of migratory birds will return to the island in winter. Although it is not a big island, it has a long and significant history. This can be found on its traditional Minan architecture, including red bricks, red tiles, swallow-tailed ridges and horseback ridges. The pace of the rural island is leisurely and people are friendly too.
