This imposing and elegant statue of North Wind Lord features black face, black hands, long beard, wears official python robe, carries an official belt and a pagoda stick. It has become a unique emblem to Lieyu.
The North Wind Lord who is in charge of wind is also referred to as "The Northern King", "Wind Duke", "General Lord", "Lord of Wind Army", "God of Wind" and "Black-Faced Wind King".
When the north wind is cold and strongest in winter, the North Wind Lord always stands on the island, faces to the north, protecting the locals from the wind evil.

Attraction

It is said that the North Wind Lord who has the same power as Wind Lion God is an incarnate of Xuantian Emperor. As he is black-faced and carries a pagoda, he is also called as Black-Faced Wind King by the locals. A Wind Rooster is standing at the opposite side of the road and facing to the north is also worshipped by the folks separately.
