- Mazhu Park was designed with wood plank road, granite footpath, statue of Mazhu, military relics and introduction boards.

The total height of the statue with base is 12.23 meters. The first layer of the three layered base is an octagon with a height of 1.28 meters. The second layer is a 1.05 meters high basalt rock with engravings. The third layer is a 0.9 meters high granite sculpture.
- The engraving on the second basalt layer is the key part of the entire base. It was composed of the following four stories covering the entire life of Mazhu: "Birth of Mazhu", "Rescue Father and Go Search for Older Brother", "Subdue Qianliyan and Shunfeng'er" and "Sea Goddess".。
- The park was formerly military howitzer front occupying the high ground. A .40 caliber anti-aircraft gun is sited on the howitzer front and a .57 caliber anti-tank gun is concealed in a pillbox.
Attractions
- Mazhu Park is stationed at the raised ground adjacent to Jiugong pier where a statue of Mazhu is dotted and facing to the sea to protect vessels and passengers. With a premium location on the raised ground, the park offers a bird's eye view of the coastline between Locuo fishing port and Donggang cape as well as the fascinating sandy beach of Dongling Coast Park.
  In addition to Mazhu Park, the tourism spots where popular with visitors near by the park include West Lake Ancient Temple, war sites of Jiugong Tunnel and magnificent Dongling Coast Park.
