The temple is situated on Fushou Mountain adjacent to Shangku village, Lieyu.

A representative religion with a long history in Lieyu.

Baosheng Dadi is commonly referred to as "Great Taoist Priest", also called "Genuine Person Wu".

Early Ming dynasty - "Boss of Eight Groups"

Baosheng Dadi was greeted to Fushou Mountain, Lieyu from Tong'an Baijiao and was worshipped by eight groups by turns in Lieyu. Therefore it was also given the name of "Boss of Eight Groups".

During Ming Emperor Jiajing's era - "Luzhu Worship System"

Dutch and pirates raid the southeast coast of China and the Great Taoist Priest Temple was ruined at the time. The temple's manager was forced to move the statue of Baosheng Dadi to "Budda's Temple" in Xifang and worshipped it by Luzhu worship system.

In the early Qing dynasty, the followers reorganized the "Four Areas" worship system

Lieyu was divided into four worshipping areas. Every year, each on-duty area greeted the statue of Baosheng Dadi to its area for worship. A variety of worship activities with traditional live music and frags were held in the greeting festival to bless for household safety and thriving.

Baosheng Dadi Temple was rebuilt. Holy pilgrimage has been holding across the island.

The original "Four Areas" worship system went down in history. The locals hold a temple ceremony every 15th day of the 3rd month of the lunar calendar and the statue of Baosheng Dadi is carried by the "Four Areas" by turns in a holy pilgrimage covering the entire island every 4th day of the first month of the lunar calendar.
