Fort Tiehan
Coast of Luocuo, Lieyu

Established in 1971
  • Fort Tiehan was founded in 1971. The fort contains one commander's office, three artillery, ammunition depots, bedrooms and tunnel. With the tunnel connects to Fort General, Fort Warrior and Fort Thunder, the forts safeguarded the Kinmen-Lieyu waterway in the northeast of Lieyu.
 
Introduction
  • Connecting with Fort Warrior, the tunnel is actually an underground Landmine Museum where a lot of landmines are displayed and a detailed introduction of landmine history and applications is also available.
 
Historic Site
  • Fort Tiehan is about 4500 square meters, features 5 meters high outer defensive wall which completely isolates the fort and conceals the scene inside. Once you approach the fort area from the road, you will see a M42 Self-Propelled Anti-Aircraft Gun displayed outside the wall. A sign with text of "Fort Tiehan" in red was inlaid on the top of the gate.
